SO CLOSE - BUT STILL, SO FAR

The weekend has been dedicated to searching. Comparing. Adjusting. Searching some more. Counting. Frowning our foreheads over currencies that has to be converted and buses that leaves from unknown stations.
And finally - buying.
Clicking the Book now-button has been almost sacred. All these months. And finally. We have our itinerary.

It feels crazy good, and kind of scary at the same time. This is it, in a way. Now we can't change anything. Or of course, we can change some things. But many hotels are already paid for and we took in general flights which no cancelation possiblity.
It was just this week we kicked two destinations that we had had in our plans for over half a year. Goodbye Ho Chi Minh, and See ya later Shanghai.

But we also added one place - Fenghuang in Hunan, China. It's supposed to be the place for rural life since the village has not been changed (except for the last couple of decades hordes of tourists, of course) for 400 years, and therefor made it to UNESCO's World Herritage List.

It's kind of cool. We might not be crazy about world herritage in general, but it's still means something. Some person said this place is better than others. Who are we to not belive them? Heh.

Jonathan says Hi, by the way.
He's kind of occupied, though.
He has been sat on "fixing everything for Visa in China" which includes booking flights and ho/s/tels for three weeks in five cities. It's a great ordeal, but I don't feel bad.

I'm in charge of making sure the budget is OK and also, making up the itinerary in the first place.
I've spent hours - no, probably days - making boards on Pinterest about culture and attractions and possible dangers for every country, read countless articles and after that, spent weeks on this blog, making myself crazy with jumping pictures and HTML-codes.

So yeah, I think I'm on the right side of my Karma-account.
Or the girlfriend-not-being-a-bitch-account.

Or not

Crazy. So close, but still, so far, as Jon McLaughlin would say. Crazy.
