We have waited, anxiosly pacing back and forth every time we raided the internet for an answer. We've waited with booking hotels, flights, visas.
And now we finally got the answer.
And it ain't good...

Our plan was, of course, to stay in Shanghai for the opening of the new Disneyland park in spring of 2016. It seemed so perfect - it was expected to be opening just about the same time we crossed the boarders to China.
Today we read on the Shanghai Disneyland website that the project is postponed, again, until 16 June 2016. Just a month after we are home again.
We should have known. The project has already been postponed twice.
But even so, we're now sitting with a feeling of disapointment. Of course we are going to Disneyland Shanghai someday. But that day will not be during this trip. So obviously we are a little disapointed.
It is good though. I am a firm beliver of the silver lining.
Our budget was tight as it was, with all the things we wanted to do. This is an opportunity to return home with the bank account on the plus side instead of a steady zero.
It seems pitty to think about money when you're missing out on experiences, but more money at the end of one journey means less time before next one.
And there we have the famous silver lining.
Now we just have to re-plan the last stops of Asia 2.0. Will we still go to Shanghai, or will we take it next time we go to Asia, for the dreamtrip to South Korea-Taiwan-Japan.....
Well time will tell.
