GASTOWN, VANCOUVER

DAY 16
A trip back in time?

Maybe not quite...

After having scanned Pinterest for things to do in Vancouver, in case our relatives had forgot something in their mile-long list of suggestions, we found that a lot of the posts pointed to the same thing: Gas town.

Like every city, Vancouver must have its old quarters. Only this city's old city isn't that old, since basically nothing in North America is older than 400 years. Gastown was kind of founded by 'Gassy' Jack Deighton and its 'big attraction' is the Gastown Steam clock that although looks like an old antique was build in 1977. It pumps steam and makes sounds every hour.

Gassy Jack himself

We walked around for a bit, enjoyed the view and the atmosphere. After an hour or so, we found a small place called Coffeebar and the refuel of caffeine was very welcome.

They sure new how to make latteart...

and lemon/coconut bars.

And that's about it for today.

Don't forget to make me happy by leaving a comment!
