CAFÉ REVIEW: SeaCup Café

"I know a place by the sea",
Victoria said to me regarding the friday-fika we'd planned,
and I was immediately intrigued.
Both because she'd brought me to great places before,
but also for being in Eriksberg again.
I've spent many picture-perfect summer afternoons
strolling the quayside by some of the most expensive appartments in Gothenburg.

So the mood was set, but did it end up as good as we hoped?
Will I trust Victoria to find us a place for four-hours of gossip and coffee again?

BEVERAGES

CAPPUCINO/35 SEK REGULAR SIZE//BREW COFFEE/25 SEK

The brewcoffee was from a Gothenburgian roastery called
BERGSTRANDS KAFFEROSTERI est. 1891
- and it was absolutely perfect.
Not a trace of acid and rich enough to drink without milk.
Also - we like free refills.
- Felicia

Victoria went with a CAPPUCINO
which she said was good, a little hot.
"Not the best I've had but good"
she commented.

BAKED GOODS

Quite a few choices but some of them not home-made.
Maybe you don't go here as much for home-made sweets as for the feeling of home when you enter the café.

Very nice served though.

INTERIOR

Cosy interior - it feels almost like a livingroom.

They have an outdoor area as well, even though we didn't sit there due to - well, it's december, and in Sweden that means we are happy if it's above minus degrees. But it sure would be a nice view in the summer!

SERVICE

Friendly, funny and chatty - those kind we like.
The girl in the cashier even came out with the food and drinks to us and later came to give us a sample of a corn-salad that she thought about putting on the menu.
Supernice, helpful and made us feel more than welcome.

.BONUS POINTS!

For this lovely sign greeting us in the entrence.

"You don't have to buy anything to be here.
Come in, get warmed up, listen to the music and enjoy the view."

Well that's how you won us over!

Also + for the many books laying around.
